SUMMARY:First Response
DESCRIPTION:What is the course?\nThis course satisfies the minimum requirements that Leaders\, Managers and Supporters are required to obtain as part of completion of their Wood Badge\, and at all times thereafter. Following transformation\, it will be a requirement that all adult volunteers in section teams maintain a current first aid qualification. It is also suitable for Young Leaders\, satisfying the requirements of Module K\, First Aid Masterclass.\nThe course aims to provide Members with simple first aid information which is relevant to their role\, helping Members build confidence and skills in coping with emergency and first aid situations by equipping Members with the knowledge needed to manage such emergencies. \nWhen and where is the course?\nThe course will run on Saturday 19th October 2024\, from 09:00-16:30\, at Keptie Scout Centre\, 7 Keptie Road\, Arbroath\, DD11 3EB. \nDo I need to know anything before I join the course?\nThe course does not have any official prerequisites. However\, the syllabus does presume all adult participants will be familiar with the content of the online modules in the table below. If you have not completed them\, or do not think you are familiar with the content\, we strongly recommend completing them prior to attending the course. You should wear appropriate\, comfortable casual clothing which is suitable for practical activities. \nWhat do I need to bring?\nYou may wish to bring equipment to take notes.
