November 17, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

£5

What is the course?
This course satisfies the minimum requirements that Leaders, Managers and Supporters are required to obtain as part of completion of their Wood Badge, and at all times thereafter. Following transformation, it will be a requirement that all adult volunteers in section teams maintain a current first aid qualification. It is also suitable for Young Leaders, satisfying the requirements of Module K, First Aid Masterclass.
The course aims to provide Members with simple first aid information which is relevant to their role, helping Members build confidence and skills in coping with emergency and first aid situations by equipping Members with the knowledge needed to manage such emergencies.

When and where is the course?
The course will run on Sunday 17th November 2024, from 09:00-16:30, at Keptie Scout Centre, 7 Keptie Road, Arbroath, DD11 3EB.

Do I need to know anything before I join the course?
The course does not have any official prerequisites. However, the syllabus does presume all adult participants will be familiar with the content of the online modules in the table below. If you have not completed them, or do not think you are familiar with the content, we strongly recommend completing them prior to attending the course. Similarly, it is assumed Young Leaders will be familiar with the content of Module A: Prepare for Takeoff!
