Our Explorers have been back for nearly a week now, and I think many of them wish they were still in the Blair Atholl Jamborette (official) Field of Dreams.

Arriving on 20th July, they stepped onto camp knowing very few people. By the end of the experience, tears were shed as they said their goodbyes, having created countless memories and formed friendships with Scouts from across Scotland and around the world.

Throughout the camp, our Explorers embraced every challenge and opportunity that came their way. They took part in a wide range of activities, including climbing, water sports and the Atholl Experience, making the most of everything on offer.

It has been a privilege to support and train these young people on their journey. With the dedication of the wider leadership team behind them, they developed the skills, confidence and independence needed to camp successfully for two weeks and represent themselves, their Group and their district with pride.

The memories, friendships and experiences they have gained will stay with them long after their tents have been packed away.

Our Cowdenbeath Scout Group have just returned from what looks like an incredible visit abroad to Pfadfinderdorf Zellhof in Austria. Highlights being trips to Salzburg, the salt mine, and mixing with 100s of Scouts from other countries also camping on the same site. Thank you to the young people for being such great ambassadors and to the great team of adult volunteers for making it all possible. ... See MoreSee Less

Congratulations Struan Moodie who received the Chief Scout's Commendation for Good Service. Struan is approaching ten years as an adult volunteer and holds a few volunteer roles, primarily with the Explorer Scout Team in Dalgety Bay but he can also frequently be seen with the Scouts Scotland Service Team, Meggernie Service Team, and at Blair Atholl Jamborette (official) where this picture was taken. ...
